John T. Araneo is a member of the firm's corporate law department. Mr. Araneo has extensive experience representing both public and private companies in a wide variety of business and corporate law matters. Mr. Araneo's areas of focus include mergers and acquisitions and other transactional matters, securities law, corporate governance, commercial litigation and arbitration, new media/e-commerce law, information privacy and employment law. Mr. Araneo counsels companies in a wide variety of industries including technology, internet and e-commerce, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, securities (including broker-dealers, hedge funds and equity trading operations), food service, hotel and restaurant and consumer product manufacturing.

Mr. Araneo is admitted to practice in New York State and is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, Business Law and Intellectual Property Law sections. Mr. Araneo is a 1997 graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law where he served as an Editor of the Hofstra Labor Law Journal and authored the note "Pandora's (E-Mail) Box: E-Mail Monitoring in the Workplace," Hofstra Labor Law Journal, Volume 14, 1996. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management, cum laude, from Johnson & Wales University in 1992 and was the President of Eta Sigma Delta, the Honor Society for the Hospitality College at Johnson & Wales.
