"Sean" John E. Crowley is a partner in the New York City office of Davidoff, Malito & Hutcher, focusing on government affairs and lobbying efforts in New York State and New York City, while providing a supporting role in the firm's Washington DC practice. He brings his problem solving skills to assist clients with business development goals, funding for non-for-profit organizations, intervention with government officials/agencies, and to fulfill legislative objectives. Prior to joining the firm, he was the managing partner of Crowley, Crowley & Kaufman, where he practiced in the areas of general litigation, personal injury, trusts and estates, real estate transactions, and guardianship matters. Mr. Crowley was previously an Investigator with the New York City Council, Campaign Coordinator for Congressman Thomas J. Manton. Mr. Crowley is a member of the Queens County Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, Law Committee Queens County Democratic Organization, Past-President of the Brehon (Irish) Law Society of New York City and the Co-Founder of the Joseph Doherty Civil Rights Fellowship. He was recognized in 2008 as one of the "Legal 100" by Irish America magazine. Mr. Crowley serves on the Board of Directors of the MAZ Fund, which raises money to help defer college educational expenses of children who have had a parent die as a result of a violent crime; the NYS Branch of the International Dyslexia Association; the Emerald Isle Immigration Center, and the board of the Power Memorial Academy Alumni Association. Mr. Crowley resides in Forest hills with his wife, Maureen and their three sons: Pearse (14), Owen (13) and Garrett (11). |
