Representative Matters

Schulman v. Milberg Weiss – Arbitration

We successfully represented a former name partner of a well-known national law firm in recovering substantial sums due him under the parties’ Partnership Agreement. To achieve this result, after arbitration, we overcame RICO and other counterclaims asserted by Milberg, arising out of alleged misconduct by our client and other former partners, since convicted of crimes, arising out of acts undertaken during their employ.

Eric Fleisher, et al., v. Wilhelmina Models, et al.,

New York Supreme Court, New York County

We represented a well-known sports agent in litigation he pursued against a former employee, who, in breach of his duties, improperly brought clients – who were NBA players – with him to his new employer. After an 8-day trial, the jury awarded our client a significant judgment against his former employee.

French v. French

New York Supreme Court, Nassau County

The owners of a closely-held family business wanted to sell a resort hotel and split the proceeds between two family groups based on their respective ownership interests. Unbeknownst to our clients, the other family group wanted to take unfair advantage of the transaction in order to obtain additional benefits under the guise of a marketing contract. Thanks to our litigation efforts, we successfully foiled this plan, permitting our clients to receive their full and fair share from the sale of the resort.

In re Dissolution of Cecil Rep

New York Supreme Court, New York County

Successful representation of majority member of LLC in proceeding to dissolve the LLC.

LoGiudice v. Antin, et al

New York Supreme Court, New York County

Successful representation of law partners in dispute with former partner arising out of the dissolution of the Firm, and defense of charges of breach of fiduciary duty in connection with ongoing representations of the Firm’s clients.

Tepperman v. McAndrews & Forbes Group, Inc.

New York Supreme Court, Westchester County

Successful representation (with co-counsel) of Fred Tepperman, in pursuit of relief arising from breach of his employment contract. At the time, it was the largest breach of employment contract suit ever in New York State.
