Howard B. Presant specializes in sophisticated estate planning on state, Federal and international levels. He has extensive experience in preparing wills, trust instruments, intrafamily agreements and related documents and providing advice regarding gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer taxation and the income taxation of estates and trusts. Mr. Presant handles the daily administration of complex estates and trusts, including those holding significant interests in real estate, artistic property and closely held businesses. He has advocated in proceedings involving the Internal Revenue Service and other tax authorities, and has more than 30 years' experience in a wide range of contested will and other litigated matters in Surrogate's Court, the Federal Tax Court and New York State Tax and Administrative Courts.

Mr. Presant is also well versed in the formation, qualification and administration of charitable and tax-exempt organizations and represents several national tax-exempt organizations and numerous charitable foundations. Mr. Presant graduated from Columbia College and received his juris doctor from Yale Law School.
