David H. Wander has been practicing law for over twenty years, focusing on bankruptcy law, corporate restructuring under chapter 11, creditor rights, and out of court workouts and debt restructuring. Mr. Wander has represented a very diverse range of clients in numerous cases under chapters 7, 11 and 13 of the federal Bankruptcy Code, in both the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York. In addition to representing companies and individuals filing for bankruptcy protection, Mr. Wander has represented creditor committees, individual creditors, landlords, financing entities and investors in distressed assets. Mr. Wander also handles all types of bankruptcy litigation, including adversary proceedings where he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving preferential transfers and fraudulent transfers, and contested matters such as motions for relief from the automatic stay and Rule 2004 examinations. Mr. Wander's practice also involves commercial litigation in both the federal and state courts of New York, and general business law where he advises both corporate entities and entrepreneurial individuals. Mr. Wander is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York; the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Wander is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Wander received a B.A. from Tufts University in 1979 and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1983. |
